βAll things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.β (Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 6:12)
Apostle Paul is saying that while many things might be legal for us as believers to partake in, not everything is practical or wise.
We also must avoid any habit from overpowering our lives via addiction.
βAll things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.β (Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 10:23)
Apostle Paul again emphasizes that just because something is legal, does not mean it is practical.
Also some habits will not benefit us if we engage in them.
